For daily mixed use without the mess of a nest of cables, Bluetooth mice are heroes upon our desks. And the Logitech MX Master 3S is one of the most popular available. The no-receiver Bluetooth pointing device is smooth, quiet, ergonomic, programmable, and well worth its regular $100 price. Great news, then, since Amazon has pressed the price back to $80 for an easy $20 saving on an excellent device for daily computing.

Why we like the Logitech MX Master 3S

MagSpeed Scrolling

For daily work and mixed use, precision and focus are hugely important. So the MX Master 3S is well-placed, since its MagSpeed scrolling is 90% faster than Logitech’s own electromagnetic scrolling solution, and it’s 87% more precise than the MX Master 2S. Additionally, the near-silent scrolling is a huge positive for owners.

Any-surface tracking

This Bluetooth mouse uses 8K DPI any-surface tracking, so you don’t need a mouse pad (unless you want a softer surface). The DPI sensor is customizable for a preferred sensitivity, and you don’t have to worry about losing a receiver dongle. The MX Master 3S doesn’t have one – it connects directly to your laptop or PC via Bluetooth, for easy switching.

Ergonomic and customizable

Owners speak overwhelmingly positively about the ergonomic design of the MX Master 3S, calling it light, comfortable, and supportive for longer use, as it promotes a natural wrist posture and has optimally placed thumb controls. You cannot change the shape of the mouse, of course, but you can customize buttons and profiles in the Logi Options+ App.

What to consider before you buy

The only real consideration is that this is not a gaming mouse. While the MX Master 3S is a hugely popular and excellent wireless mouse, it’s best used for daily mixed use, work, study, and productivity. For gaming setups, even ones where a wireless mouse is preferred, look for gaming-specific models – like Logitech’s own G502 range – for more suitability. Price-wise, the MX Master 3S has been lower, but this deal still represents a good saving on a top pointing device.
