Massive 77-inch LG C6 OLED TV drops to its lowest ever price on Amazon in fantastic deal
The 77-inch LG OLED evo C6H delivers a major picture upgrade over smaller C6 models by combining pixel-level OLED contrast with the brighter Primary RGB Tandem panel used in LG’s premium televisions. Its Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3, four HDMI 2.1 inputs and 165Hz variable-refresh support make it equally compelling for home cinema, current consoles and high-end gaming PCs. It remains expensive and subject to OLED’s usual static-image precautions, but a meaningful discount would make it one of the strongest large-screen televisions in its class. Grab it now for 20% off the MSRP.

The screen measures approximately 67.4 inches wide and 38.7 inches high without its stand. Owners should measure doorways, stairs, wall space and furniture before delivery rather than relying only on the diagonal screen size. Its centrally positioned stand is approximately 20.5 inches wide, making it easier to place on furniture than a design with feet at the extreme edges. The complete television weighs about 59.5lb with the stand and should be installed by two people.
Wall mounting uses a 300x200mm VESA pattern. The mount must support the television’s weight, while cable routing and access to the rear connections should be planned before the screen is lifted into position.

What we like about the LG 77-inch OLED evo C6H 4K smart TV
Exceptional OLED black levels
Every pixel controls its own brightness, allowing the C6H to display black without illuminating the surrounding screen. Dark films gain convincing shadow depth, and bright highlights appear cleanly against black backgrounds without visible local-dimming zones. This is particularly valuable in a dark home-cinema environment. Letterbox bars disappear into the room, star fields retain precise points of light and subtitles do not create large glowing patches around the text.
The effectively infinite contrast ratio is also beneficial during gaming. Dark areas maintain greater depth, while bright interface elements remain sharply defined. Black-level performance does not depend on the number or size of backlight zones because there is no conventional backlight.
Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel
The 77-inch C6H’s four-stack tandem panel is the feature that separates it from the 42-, 55- and 65-inch C6 variants. It brings the 77-inch model closer to the picture capabilities of LG’s premium G-series without requiring the G6’s gallery-style chassis. Independent spectral analysis has verified the Primary RGB Tandem structure. Testing has also found substantially higher HDR brightness and a wider colour volume than on the smaller OLED-EX C6 models.
Bright colours are a particular strength. Traditional WOLED televisions can lose saturation as highlights approach their maximum brightness, whereas the tandem panel retains richer colour across a larger portion of the HDR range. This makes saturated signs, costumes, animation and game effects look more vivid.
The G6 still has advantages. Its different chassis provides more space for thermal management, allowing the flagship to sustain somewhat higher brightness, and its reflection handling is superior. The C6H is nevertheless unusually close in core picture quality.
Excellent HDR impact
Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG are supported. Dolby Vision uses dynamic metadata to adjust compatible content scene by scene, while HLG is relevant to HDR broadcasting. Filmmaker Mode can present films with reduced processing and more faithful motion and colour settings.
The high peak brightness allows small highlights such as sparks, sunlight and reflections to stand out with genuine intensity. It also gives the television more headroom for tone mapping than previous C-series models.
LG’s Dynamic Tone Mapping Ultra can alter HDR presentation to reveal detail or increase visual impact. Viewers who prioritise accuracy may prefer Filmmaker Mode with more restrained processing, while those watching in a brighter room may favour a more assertive setting.
The TV does not support HDR10+. Compatible HDR10+ discs and streams fall back to standard HDR10 rather than using that format’s dynamic metadata. Dolby Vision support offsets this for many services, but buyers with a large HDR10+ library should note the omission.
Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3
The Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 replaces the lower-tier processors historically used in LG’s C-series. It handles scaling, noise reduction, gradation, motion processing, tone mapping and the television’s smart interface. Low-resolution and highly compressed material can be cleaned without excessively erasing fine detail. AI Super Upscaling attempts to distinguish objects, faces and textures before adapting the enhancement, although it cannot recreate information genuinely absent from the source.
The processor also analyses image genres and room lighting. AI Picture and Brightness Control can make automatic adjustments, while manual picture modes remain available for users who prefer predictable settings.
Independent evaluation has found the processor particularly effective at reducing compression artefacts and smoothing gradients. This matters on a 77-inch screen because low-bitrate flaws are easier to see at large sizes and close viewing distances.
Superb gaming connectivity
All four HDMI inputs support high-bandwidth gaming features rather than restricting them to two sockets. This makes it possible to connect multiple consoles, a gaming PC and an eARC audio system without continually moving cables. HDMI 2 provides eARC for a compatible soundbar or AV receiver. The remaining inputs still leave space for several high-frame-rate sources. Quick Media Switching can reduce black screens when compatible devices change between supported frame rates, while Quick Frame Transport can reduce transmission latency.
Variable refresh rate synchronises the television with the source’s fluctuating frame output, reducing tearing and judder. NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium cover the major PC graphics ecosystems, while HDMI Forum VRR supports compatible consoles.
Auto Low Latency Mode switches the television into an appropriate gaming configuration when a recognised game begins. Game Optimizer gathers relevant settings into one interface, allowing the user to inspect refresh-rate status and adjust picture parameters without navigating the entire webOS menu system.
Near-instantaneous pixel response time
OLED’s rapid pixel transitions produce very little conventional motion blur. Fast-moving players, vehicles and camera pans retain clearer edges than on many slower LCD televisions. This is beneficial for games and sport, but it can expose low-frame-rate judder. Film content at 24 frames per second may appear to stutter during slow camera pans because each frame is held sharply before the next arrives.
LG provides motion-interpolation controls that can reduce visible stutter by creating intermediate frames. Strong settings may introduce the unnaturally smooth “soap-opera effect,” so subtle adjustment is usually preferable for films.
Independent testing also identified some overshoot in very dark transitions. It is not likely to dominate normal viewing, but no display technology is completely free of motion compromises.
High brightness
The C6H becomes bright enough for use in a moderately lit living room, and ambient light does not wash out OLED black levels in the same manner as some competing panel types. Colour remains vivid during daytime viewing.
Its reflection handling is less impressive than its brightness. Independent reviewers found that direct windows and lamps can produce distracting reflections, with one describing the screen as mirror-like when placed opposite a strong light source.
Room placement therefore matters. Avoiding a direct line between the television and a window or lamp will improve daytime viewing considerably. Buyers with an exceptionally bright room may prefer the G6’s stronger anti-reflection treatment or a premium matte Mini-LED television.
webOS 26 smart features
webOS 26 provides access to major streaming applications, LG Channels, connected-home controls and input management. The AI Magic Remote supports conventional directional navigation and LG’s pointer-style control system. Google Cast and Apple AirPlay 2 allow content to be sent from compatible phones, tablets and computers. Apple Home and LG ThinQ integration support broader smart-home control, while Alexa compatibility is available through appropriate devices and account setup.
LG advertises Gemini and Microsoft Copilot integrations alongside its own AI chatbot and voice-recognition tools. Their availability and exact functions depend on country, language, internet access, accounts and software updates.
Gallery+ can turn the display into an art or photo screen, but selected functions require an internet connection and paid subscription. Leaving a static image on an OLED for very long periods is also less desirable than using varied content or an appropriately moving slideshow.
Connectivity is broad but not perfect
The TV provides four HDMI inputs, two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, optical digital audio and an antenna connection. Bluetooth 5.3 supports compatible headphones, speakers and controllers. Two USB 2.0 sockets are adequate for basic media and accessories but lack the transfer speed of USB 3.x. The television does not offer DisplayPort, so PCs use HDMI for 4K/165Hz operation.
The US model uses an ATSC 1.0 tuner rather than ATSC 3.0. This matters primarily to buyers relying on NextGen TV broadcasts in supported US markets; streaming and external receiver use are unaffected.
Who should buy this LG C6 TV deal?
The LG OLED77C6H is best for home-cinema enthusiasts who want an immersive screen without sacrificing OLED’s perfect blacks and pixel-level contrast. Its tandem panel makes it substantially brighter and more colourful than earlier C-series models, strengthening both HDR films and daytime viewing. It is also an excellent gaming television. Console players receive four 4K/120Hz-capable inputs, Dolby Vision Gaming, low input lag and variable refresh rate, while PC users can extend the display to 165Hz with compatible hardware.
The 77-inch size suits a larger living room or dedicated media space. Buyers should ensure that their viewing distance, furniture and delivery route can accommodate a screen more than 67 inches wide.
People who continuously display static news channels, game interfaces or computer desktops should also consider their usage pattern. OLED Care reduces risk but cannot eliminate cumulative wear from years of repetitive content.
Finally, existing C5 owners should consider the upgrade only if the 77-inch tandem panel, 165Hz PC support or higher HDR brightness addresses a specific need. For buyers moving from an older LCD or early-generation OLED, the improvement in contrast, colour, processing and gaming capability will be much more substantial.
