This iBuyPower Element gaming PC is going for $250 off at Newegg right now, and it’s a very well-balanced and relatively budget-friendly pick for FHD gaming, creative work, and more. This prebuild features an RTX 5060 graphics card, which offers up 8GB of speedy GDDR7 VRAM, the latest Blackwell features, like MFG and improved AI capabilities, and is a quality pick for high refresh rate FHD gaming and esports in particular. That’s paired with the impressive Intel Core i7-14700F, which is notable for its high core and thread count, boost clock speed, and decent-sized L3 cache, which enable it to be brilliant for gaming, multitasking, and handling of creative workflows. On top of that, it has 16GB of DDR5 and a 1TB SSD, both of which help keep costs down, but still support gaming and overall performance, and provide enough storage for most people.

iBUYPOWER Element Gaming PC Desktop, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB

Intel Core i7 14700F, 16GB DDR5 RGB RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD

iBuyPower gaming PCs are always a good way to go if you’re looking for excellent build quality, design, and performance, and at $1,349.99, it’s not bad at all for an RTX 5060 build, with DDR5 and a higher core count processor. It’s the type of RTX 5060 prebuild that’s more versatile than your typical models, which come in around $1,100, and tend to have lower core count CPUs. If you’re looking for something for FHD gaming, but also like to run background applications, stream, and also want something for moderately demanding video and photo editing, then this gaming PC is a good way to go.

Should you buy this gaming PC?

This PC is going to be great if you’re looking for something for more than just gaming, and don’t mind paying a slight premium for a more well-rounded, versatile option. While the RTX 5060 is primarily designed with FHD esports gaming in mind, it’s still a quality pick for content creators, looking to stick to a budget. It’s not going to handle 3D rendering and editing as well as something like an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB or RTX 5070 Ti, but for most content creation workflows, it’ll perform well, especially with a processor well-regarded for its performance in this area.

Things to consider

Of course, the big thing here is whether you’re good with a 14th-gen CPU and not something more future-proof, like an Intel Core Ultra processor. It’s worth factoring in, as it makes upgrades a little trickier, as you’ll need to swap out the motherboard to one that’s LGA 1851 compatible. That being said, considering what the Intel i7-14700F brings to the table for the price, I don’t think it’s going to be much of an issue for most people.

Is it the best time to buy?

It’s a tricky one. We’re heading towards Amazon Prime Day, so this month, in general, is a good time to buy, but the real question is if this PC will drop any lower, or if it’s anywhere near as low as it could be. I’d say, based on my experience monitoring prices of gaming PCs, that it’s unlikely to significantly drop further than where it is now, especially with the price of RAM and storage nowadays. I’d say if you’re interested, now is a good time to go for it. Check out some of our top gaming PC deals below to see what else is out there.
