Odyssey G5 Ultra-Wide gaming monitor demands less money for more screen in latest Amazon deal
Table of Contents
Should regular-sized, flat monitor screens be old news, this may be an offer for you. Samsung’s Odyssey G5 Ultra-Wide is a highly rated 34-inch model with more screen to offer. And now is a good time to be considering it. A time-limited discount has moved the price to $265, for a $135 saving. There’s speed, eye comfort, and a 1000R curvature in the mix, too: all elements for an immersive upgrade from a regular 27-inch monitor.
Why we like the 34-inch Odyssey G5 UW
Big, immersive screen
A 34-inch screen means more space, but if you’re prioritizing a single-monitor setup, that’s less of an issue. Plus, you get an expansive ultra-wide experience. The 1000R curvature on this monitor should suit natural peripheral vision, too, making it a more comfortable and enjoyable option.
Fast 2K panel
The Odyssey G5 Ultra-Wide has a 2K (3440 x 1440) panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. That’s speedy enough to natively support up to 165 frames per second, which is more than enough to enjoy smooth 1440p in top games and suitable for gaming PCs with punchy GPUs.

Enjoyable, smooth viewing
As a VA panel with HDR10, this G5 Ultra-wide is loved for its high-quality picture, deep blacks, impressive contrast, and vivid colors. For its deal price, there’s plenty of visual niceness to enjoy. Plus, with AMD FreeSync Premium, the monitor includes adaptive sync technology to reduce screen tearing, latency, and stutters.
What to consider before you buy
Space is the first thing to consider if you’re upgrading from a smaller-sized monitor, but the upgrade should be worth it. The Odyssey G5 Ultra is a highly rated monitor that owners love, and more immersive than flat models thanks to its expansive screen and natural curved style. It’s certainly worth considering the best ultra-wide monitors for more information on what’s available. Still, at this price, there’s a lot of value if this G5 fits the bill.
