The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is an excellent match for a high-performance graphics card because its enlarged cache helps minimize CPU bottlenecks in many games. Its eight cores operate at a 4.7GHz base frequency and can boost to 5.2GHz, while 96MB of L3 cache and 8MB of L2 provide 104MB of combined cache. That large L3 allocation is particularly important at high frame rates. When game data is available from on-chip cache rather than DDR5, the processor can access it with lower latency, helping maintain stronger CPU throughput and smoother frame delivery. What we like about this ABS Stratos II Ruby Gaming PC
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor
The Stratos II Ruby is built around AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D, an eight-core, 16-thread Zen 5 processor specifically optimized for gaming through second-generation 3D V-Cache technology. Its 96MB L3 cache allows considerably more frequently accessed game data to remain close to the CPU cores, helping reduce memory latency and improve both average frame rates and frame-time consistency in cache-sensitive games.

GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7
Graphics are handled by a Gigabyte Windforce GeForce RTX 5070 Ti equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM. The substantial graphics memory allocation gives the system considerably more headroom for high-resolution textures, ray tracing, demanding modern games, 3D content creation, and GPU-accelerated applications than GPUs equipped with smaller 8GB or 12GB memory pools.
DLSS 4.5 support
NVIDIA’s DLSS 4.5 technology provides another important performance advantage. AI-assisted rendering techniques can reconstruct higher-resolution images from lower internal resolutions, while supported RTX 50-series features such as Multi Frame Generation can generate additional frames between conventionally rendered ones to substantially increase displayed frame rates in compatible games.
32GB DDR5-6000 memory
G.Skill supplies 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory as two 16GB modules, providing a strong combination of capacity and bandwidth for a modern AM5 gaming system. Using two modules enables dual-channel operation, while two of the motherboard’s four memory slots remain available for future expansion.
2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
The Team Group NV5000 provides 2TB of solid-state storage over a PCIe 4.0 NVMe interface. That gives the system enough space for Windows, applications, and a substantial modern game library while avoiding the loading and file-transfer limitations associated with SATA storage or mechanical hard drives.
ASRock B850 motherboard
Rather than pairing premium components with an obsolete entry-level platform, ABS uses an ASRock B850M-C motherboard. The AM5 B850 platform provides a contemporary foundation for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, DDR5 memory, NVMe storage, and future system expansion, with multiple M.2 connections providing scope for additional SSD capacity.
240mm liquid CPU cooling
A Bitspower 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler handles CPU thermals. This is a sensible pairing for the 9800X3D because sustained boost behavior depends partly on operating temperature, while the second-generation X3D architecture gives the CPU cores a better thermal path to the cooling solution than earlier 3D V-Cache implementations.
850W 80 Plus Gold power supply
The Gamdias HELIOS P2-850G provides 850W of rated power with 80 Plus Gold efficiency. This gives the RTX 5070 Ti and Ryzen 7 9800X3D a suitably substantial power foundation while retaining useful headroom for transient loads, additional drives, memory expansion, and other components.
Who should buy this ABS Stratos II Ruby PC?
The ABS Stratos II Ruby is primarily aimed at enthusiast gamers who want high-end performance without assembling and validating a system themselves. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5070 Ti pairing is particularly well suited to high-refresh 1440p gaming, while also possessing enough GPU capability to make 4K gaming practical with suitable settings and upscaling. Competitive players can benefit from the 9800X3D’s strong CPU performance when targeting extremely high frame rates, while visually demanding single-player games can make greater use of the RTX 5070 Ti’s 16GB of GDDR7 memory, ray-tracing hardware, and DLSS 4 functionality.
The system is also suitable for game development, 3D rendering, video editing, streaming, AI-assisted applications, and other GPU-accelerated creative workloads. Buyers whose work consists primarily of heavily multithreaded CPU rendering or simulation may benefit from a 12- or 16-core processor, but the eight-core 9800X3D provides a particularly strong gaming-first balance.
