If you’re looking for a gaming PC that ticks all the boxes but doesn’t veer too far into super-premium territory, then I’d say Skytech’s Azure 3 lineup is well worth checking out. This discounted RTX 5070 Ti model is well worth a look right now, as it’s down $300 at Newegg, coming in at $2,699.99. What you’re getting is a PC that’s designed with performance in mind, has some wiggle room for upgrades, and also gives you a quality, great-looking case with robust cooling, too.

Skytech Gaming Azure 3 Gaming PC, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7GHz, NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti 16GB

2TB Gen4 NVMe SSD, 32GB DDR5 6000, 850W GOLD ATX 3 PSU, 360 ARGB AIO , Wi-Fi, Win 11, Desktop, Montech XR

With the RTX 5070 Ti at its core, you’ve got arguably one of the best graphics cards for QHD gaming, which also boasts some solid 4K capabilities. 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and 5th-gen tensor cores make for a powerful combination for gaming both at high refresh rates and with ray tracing, and its AI capabilities allow it to punch above its weight, especially at 4K.

This is paired with one of the best gaming CPUs around, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. This would be my personal pick for the RTX 5070 Ti, as it makes a lot of sense from a price-to-performance perspective and puts you on a much clearer AM5 upgrade path to, say, an Intel 14th-gen alternative. Of course, this CPU packs a massive 96MB L3 cache, made possible by AMD’s unique 3D V-cache technology. For QHD gaming at high FPS, it’s a game-changer that facilitates super smooth, low-latency gameplay. It would be brilliant for FHD esports gaming at extreme framerates, too, so if you’re into competitive play, this is a great way to go.

A build is more than the sum of its GPU and CPU, as you know. This PC has a robust 360mm AIO cooler, providing plenty of thermal headroom for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and 32GB of DDR5 for reduced micro-stuttering and a level of future-proofing for future, demanding releases. Its PSU is 850W, which will provide plenty of stable power to this PC and has enough headroom for upgrades, too. It even has a 2TB SSD, which makes way more sense nowadays with the size of your typical game.

Reason to buy this Skytech Azure 3 gaming PC

A powerful gaming-first build for QHD

The sweet spot with this build is high refresh rate 1440p gaming, rather than immense multitasking and workstation usage, where an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus would be preferable, in my opinion. Considering the price difference between an RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 9800X3D build and this, I’d say this PC makes a whole lot of sense when it comes to cost-to-performance, too.

360mm AIO is a great for the 7 9800X3D

Generally speaking, these 360mm AIOs are best used with high-core-count, powerful processors, where all cores are used extensively for demanding creative and productivity tasks. The good news is that with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, it gives you plenty of thermal headroom, allowing to to game for extended periods of time without having to worry too much about noise and performance.

Loads of RAM and storage are a win, and could save you an expensive upgrade

32GB of DDR5 and 2TB of storage give you everything you need for gaming right out of the gate. With prices all over the shop when it comes to these two components, I’d say that also saves you a lot of potential hassle.

Things to consider before buying

There’s no explicit mention of the motherboard in this build, which I’d advise confirming before going for it, especially if you’re interested in upgrading it with Gen5 SSDs, more RAM, or a more powerful GPU and CPU, for instance. It’s a minor thing, but one to make sure of before pulling the trigger.
