Thunderobot gaming laptops are good options to go for if you’re looking for punchy performance at competitive prices, and this particular discounted model ticks both of the boxes very nicely indeed. It features a powerful current-gen graphics card and top-tier 24-core processor, in the form of the RTX 5080 and Core Ultra 9 275HX, for outstanding gaming and multitasking performance, and exceptional handling of creative workflows. On top of that, it doesn’t skimp on RAM either, opting for 32GB, which is now very much the sweet spot for modern AAA gaming. You’ve even got a 2TB SSD, which, again, is ideal for modern AAA gaming, with some titles easily coming in at over 100 GB.
Its screen is a winner, too, and while it’s not OLED, it is QHD+, IPS, and 360Hz, making it brilliant for fast-paced gaming and for super smooth on-screen motion. It also boasts 100% DCI-P3 color, so if you’re a video editor or creative professional, it’s well-suited for making accurate edits on the go.
Coming in at $2,249.00 on Amazon and at its lowest price in 30 days through PCOnline US, this is a very good price considering what this laptop brings to the table, and very competitive for an RTX 5080 model that can handle demanding creative workflows and QHD gaming with ease. More standout features of this Thunderobot Zero 16 Pro gaming laptop
New design gives it a much more premium and unique feel
This laptop features Spectra RGB lighting, an illuminating logo, and anodized metal finishing for a more high-end and futuristic aesthetic than what you’d expect for a more affordable (relatively speaking) RTX 5080 laptop.
Robust cooling system allows for heavy and sustained usage
The cooling system claims to sustain up to 230W of total power, thanks to its integrated dual Night Owl fans, seven large heat pipes, and 316 ultra-thin copper fins for maximal airflow.
Advanced connectivity, Per-Key RGB, and HD camera
You’ve got WIFI 6E connectivity here, which is great for online gaming, streaming, and more, alongside a handy HD webcam and a great-looking RGB per-key keyboard. Again, you’re getting some premium touches, but for a competitive price point.
Who should get this deal?
This laptop is a very strong alternative from a price-to-performance perspective to your more well-known brands within the space, and it’s a great way to go if you’re looking for powerhouse gaming and content creation performance, but without spending closer to $3,000. Its screen is impressive, but it’s not OLED, so you’ll want to factor that in to your decision if you’re looking for top-tier picture quality to make more cinematic games look even better. That being said, with its notably high 360Hz refresh rate, it’s a fantastic option for fast-paced and competitive gaming.
