Premium 32-inch ASUS ROG Strix dual-mode gaming monitor hits lowest price in 30 days at Newegg
Table of Contents
Over the past month, some of the best deals I’ve come across are from ASUS, with many of its products hitting their lowest recorded prices. The good news is that even after some of the major sales, like Prime Day or Newegg’s FantasTech sale, there are still excellent discounts to be had, and this particular gaming monitor genuinely stands out from the crowd.
This ASUS ROG Strix 32-inch dual-mode OLED gaming monitor is down to its lowest price in 30 days at Newegg, with a solid $300.99 discount knocking it down to $699.00. This monitor can be used for both 4K gaming at 165Hz and FHD gaming at 330Hz, which pretty much gives you two monitors in one. It’s designed for those who want something to showcase AAA, story-driven, cinematic games at their best in 4K, but also want a monitor that’ll allow for super high fps gaming, with low motion blur and latency.
As mentioned, it’s also OLED, or WOLED to be precise, which is basically a slightly brighter option in that space. It’s glossy, which helps enhance perceived color, contrast, and sharpness, and is a good alternative to anti-glare, which can look a little hazy sometimes. For low-light rooms, glossy OLEDs are a great way to go. It has a VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification, which is quite standard for most OLEDs, but still a noteworthy indicator of its excellent color, contrast, and peak brightness. In fact, this monitor’s color gamut and accuracy (99% DCI-P3 and Delta E<2) are so good, it’s actually a very viable choice for video editing and content creation.

There are a few more standout features here which I’ll get into shortly, but overall, this monitor is a very strong option at its current price, especially as these types of dual-mode OLED displays can easily go for closer to $1,000. I’d say that if you want something versatile that will complement a wide range of different games and be great for creative work, you can’t really go wrong with this monitor for the price.

ASUS OLED Care Pro provides extensive burn-in protection
All the top OLED gaming monitors combine built-in heatsinks with advanced technology and software to reduce potential burn-in, but each brand has something a little different to bring to the table. With this, you’ve got a Neo Proximity Sensor, which can detect when you step away from the screen automatically and turn on a screen saver. That’s just one of many automatic processes that help give you peace of mind.
USB-C with 15W power delivery
I’m a big fan of this feature, and it’s only really seen on more premium monitors. While it’s not super high, 15W is enough to charge a device directly from the monitor itself, which helps reduce clutter and free up desk space.
Free 3-month Adobe Creative Cloud subsription with your purchase
This is a win if you’re considering moving into content creation and want access to some of the top creative applications on the market without paying separately.
Things to consider
The only real consideration here is whether you want to go for a glossy or matte OLED, as obviously the latter is better suited to more well-lit environments and daytime usage. It’s also worth noting that you can get dual-mode monitors with higher refresh rates for both 4K and FHD, which would be better suited for enthusiast-level builds than this model. Be prepared to spend over $1,000 in most cases, though.
