This fantastic Samsung 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor is now down to its lowest price ever on Amazon, and it’s well worth checking out at its new price, as it’s ideal for high-end QHD gaming builds.

This monitor brings a lot to the table, and is essentially a display that boasts outstanding picture quality, top-tier gaming performance, and a much sleeker design aesthetic in comparison to many of the alternatives from other popular brands in the space. The display itself is QD-OLED and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certified, which is a level up from your typical QD-OLED monitor when it comes to contrast, color, and peak brightness. It’s the type of screen that’s designed to showcase games at their very best, and is the ideal way to go for more cinematic and atmospheric titles.

On the performance front, you’ve got a massive 500Hz refresh rate, which is pretty much the top-end you can get with a QHD monitor, and only really designed for competitive gamers, enthusiast builds, or simply those who enjoy extreme FPS gaming. With a very low 0.03ms response time, you’re getting something capable of up to 500fps at QHD, with very low motion blur.

In terms of pricing, $599.99 is actually very competitive for a 500Hz, QHD, QD-OLED gaming monitor with this standard of build quality, from one of the leaders of the pack. It’s actually around the same price as most 360Hz alternatives, so even if your build can’t make use of all 500Hz just yet, it may make sense if you want something it can grow into with future upgrades.

That being said, the main target audience here is those who have powerhouse QHD builds and enjoy splitting their time between slower, more atmospheric gaming, which benefits from more lifelike picture quality, and very fast-paced, competitive gaming at super-high framerates. At its new price, it’s a real winner.

Is it the best time to buy?

As you can see from the graph above, it’s the best time to buy this monitor, but the big question is whether it’ll drop lower during the Prime Day Sales. Personally, from my years covering Prime Day, I’d say it’s relatively unlikely. If it does, I’d predict it would only be by $20-$30, since it’s already very competitively priced for this kind of monitor. I also think this monitor is likely to stay at this price for a couple more weeks, but that’s purely a hunch based on what I’ve experienced in the past. If you’re interested, I’d say it’s a good time to go for it, especially since it’s dropped from $750 most recently, but has frequently been over $850 previously.
