Table of Contents
Going for an Andromeda Insights prebuilt PC is a solid option if you’re looking for stylish design, excellent cooling, and punchy performance without completely breaking the bank. This V3 Advanced gaming PC is a great example of this, and features the excellent RTX 5070, brilliant Ryzen 7 7800X3D, a powerful 360mm AIO liquid cooler with digital display, and solid 16GB of DDR5. It’s currently down $330 at Newegg and has been reduced from $2,099.99 to $1,769.99, which is a very good price for an RTX 5070 build with a Ryzen X3D processor.
This is the type of PC that’s going to be very well-suited if you’re looking for a gaming-first machine for primarily 1440p, but don’t want to spend closer to $2300 on an RTX 5070 Ti equivalent, and for the price, you’re absolutely getting your money’s worth here.
What we like about this Andromeda Insights V3 gaming PC
Incredible processor for gaming
You’ve got a Ryzen 7 7800X3D in this build, which is still one of the very best gaming CPUs on the market. While the 7 9800X3D has a slightly higher boost clock speed and improved thermals, the 7 7800X3D still packs a huge 96MB L3 cache, 5GHz boost clock speed, 8 cores, and 16 threads. Its unique 3D V-cache architecture is designed with high-framerate gaming in mind, and for improved 1% lows and lower frame latency, making it a very strong choice for the RTX 5070 for 1440p in particular. Brilliant graphics card for 1440p
This build features the excellent RTX 5070, which is a very strong option to go for if you’re after quality 1440p gaming performance, but without the price tag of the RTX 5070 Ti. You’ve got all the usual bells and whistles of Bdoa’s Blacwell architecture here, including GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and 5th-gen tensor cores, plus MFG to help enhance gaming performance even further. Notably, it features 12GB of GDDR7, which is good for gaming, but not quite as ideal for more VRAM-intensive tasks, like complex 3D editing in Blender, for example. In our RTX 5070 review, with Cyberpunk 2077 at ultra settings, it hit 169fps at 1080p and 108fps at 1440p, to give you an idea of what to expect.
Decent amount of DDR5 and starter storage
You’ve got 16GB of DDR5 in this build, which is fine for gaming and should help reduce microstuttering in more demanding titles, and help with overall multitasking performance, too, whether that be streaming, running background applications, or simply having loads of tabs and windows open at the same time. Its storage is also pretty decent, coming in at 1TB. It’s enough for a handful of larger, AAA titles, and is a good way to go if you’re trying to keep costs down, and don’t need 2TB from the get-go.
Things to consider and potential alternatives
This PC pretty much ticks all the boxes in all honesty, especially from a price-to-performance perspective. The only real consideration would be whether to go for something with a touch more VRAM, which would likely be an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB pre-built. I’ve come across these at closer o $1500 or $1600, but they usually have an Intel i7-14700F processor. These are great for content creation, multitasking, and productivity, but not as lunchy for gaming at X3D alternatives, so there’s a trade-off there. An RTX 5060 Ti is still going to give you solid 1440p performance, however, so if you’re going for something a little more versatile, it could be a good option. This is the RTX 5060 Ti gaming PC that’s been standing out to me for a while now, which is an ABS model that’s currently on sale at Newegg, and would be a very good alternative.
