Why we like the Razer BlackWidow V4 X

Super-rapid, but quiet, keystrokes

Utilizing yellow mechanical linear switches, the BlackWidow V4 X has a 1.2mm distance between key actuation and reset points. Plus, the actuation force of a successful key press is just 45g. That’s ideal for rapid-fire keystrokes where speed matters, be that for gaming or light touch-typing. Those key presses are quiet, too, thanks to built-in sound dampeners and a noise-reducing foa layer.

Macro and multi-function control

Premium keyboards like the BlackWidow V4 X offer greater control. You get six dedicated, programmable macro keys down the left of the board to support your gaming priorities. Plus, secondary media keys and a multi-function roller control your playlist, music volume, and keyboard brightness. And the last of those directly affects Razer’s dynamic Chroma RGB lighting.

The BlackWidow V4 X is a gaming keyboard with six macro keys, additional media controls, and per-key RBG lighting. It also looks good and should last for some time, even with heavy use. If you’re looking for a gaming keyboard that can be reliably used for everyday tasks, the V4 X could be a great option. However, keep in mind that its yellow mechanical switches are built for speed and low-force levels. If you’re not a particularly light tapper, this may not be the keyboard for you.
