A quality CPU for content creators, with solid gaming capabilities

You’ve got the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K in this PC, which is the middle-of-the-pack option from the Core Ultra lineup, characterized by its excellent efficiency, high core count, NPU, and big boost clock speed. While a Ryzen X3D model may be preferred for gaming, due to their large L3 cache, the 7 265K is a superior way to go for content creators in particular, as it features 20 cores and 20 threads, which can be utilized effectively for anything from streaming to handling complex creative workloads in Premiere Pro or Blender. Considering the raw power of the RTX 5070 Ti, and its excellent rendering capabilities, 9th-gen Nvidia Encoders, and features like Nvidia Broadcast, this CPU is a great pick for content creators who also want excellent 1440p and 4K gaming performance, too. Enough RAM for demanding games and creative workflows

You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 here, which is ideal if you’re looking to play more demanding AAA titles as smoothly as possible, as some open-world games in particular can be run on this at 16GB. It’s a game-changer if you’re working with large files in Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, Blender, and other popular creative editing applications, as workflows can grind to a crawl with less RAM.

Starter storage to keep initial spend down

This PC has 1TB of storage, which is fine for most people in all honesty, and allows you to essentially upgrade when you need it, rather than pay for space you may not get around to using anytime soon. It’s a good size if you’re largely storing creative projects on an external HDD, for instance, but you want to keep your gaming collection on the SSD. At this size, you could easily fit a fair few games without having to worry about storage management too much.

Things to consider

It’s worth noting that there is a new Core Ultra processor that outperforms the Intel 7 265K, and features a higher core and thread count, larger L3 cache, and higher boost clock speed. Keep an eye out for the intel core ultra 7 270k plus, as it’s a very strong pairing with the RTX 5070 Ti, and would be a superior choice across the board. Here’s an HP Omen option with this CPU, which isn’t on sale, but also under $2,200 on Amazon right now.
