What we like about this MEK AI-Enhanced gaming PC
RTX 5080 for powerhouse 1440p and 4K gaming, plus excellent workstation capabilities
The RTX 5080 is one of the best graphics cards to go for, if you’re after something powerful enough to handle 4K with ray tracing, super high fps 1440p gaming, that’s also a very strong choice for content creation and heavy productivity workflows. It features 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM and has a higher core count than the RTX 5070 Ti, coming in at 10,752 vs the Ti’s 8,960. You’ve got more raw performance to handle more demanding AAA games and creative workflows in applications like Premiere Pro and Blender, which makes this card an excellent option for hybrid gaming and content creator usage, in particular. With its 5th-gen tensor cores giving it a significant AI boost, you can expect excellent performance with DLSS and MFG enabled, and top-tier performance with various AI-accelerated tasks and workflows, such as generative fill, background noise reduction, and so on. Ryzen 7 9800X3D for top-tier gaming performance
This build has one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which is often found paired with the very best graphics cards from the 50-series. It features 2nd-gen 3D V-cache technology, which has improved thermal design for more stable performance under heavier and sustained loads, and has a slightly higher boost clock speed to the 7 7800X3D, coming in at 5.2GHz. The big thing is its 96MB L3 cache, which is basically triple the size of some of the Ryzen X processors, like the Ryzen 7 9700X, which comes in at 32MB. This allows for very high fps gaming with extremely low frame latency. For benchmarks, be sure to check out our full review.

Loads of RAM and storage
You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 here, which is great for keeping gaming performance running smoothly, even with more demanding AAA titles, like simulators and open worlds. It also gives you loads of headroom for making edits on large, complex files in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Blender, and can keep your system from grinding to a crawl even with extremely RAM-intensive workloads. For multitasking, it’s great too, as it helps give you some bandwidth for streaming, recording video, and running background applications. On the storage front, it’s a winner at 2TB, and considering some games top the scales at 100GB, 2TB is now becoming a good starting point for serious gamers.
Things to consider
In short, if you want to still get an RTX 5080 gaming PC but want a Ryzen X3D processor, you can get it cheaper than this without sacrificing too much from a gaming performance perspective. The best way to go would be an RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 7800X3D prebuild, as these will be less expensive, but still give you a huge 96MB L3 cache and 5GHz boost clock speed. I’ve had a look at Newegg and found this Skytech Gaming King 95 prebuild, which fits the bill and is currently $2,899.99 and on sale. These PCs are Skytech’s premium offering and are seriously impressive from a build quality and design perspective, and I’d say it would be a very good alternative to this RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 9800X3D build.
