Table of Contents
This Samsung 32-inch Odyssey G7 smart gaming monitor is currently 50% off its list price on Amazon, and it looks to be at its lowest price ever through reputable third-party seller Beach Day Camera, which has 4.5 stars with 2,603 ratings, and over 10 years on Amazon.
As a smart gaming monitor, you’re getting something that’s essentially a standalone smart TV, with an advanced processor that can upscale lower resolution content, and a 4K gaming monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate in one device.
It ticks both boxes well, offering wide viewing angles through its Fast IPS panel, and smooth gameplay with features like FreeeSyn Premium and its 1ms GTG response time. For under $400, it’s a great do-it-all option for less than you’d think, and well worth checking out while it’s still on sale.

What we like about this Samsung 32-inch Odyssey G7 smart gaming monitor
Its fast IPS panel is great for performance and wider viewing angles
Fast IPS is the way to go if you’re looking for something that can be viewed from wider angles, but still remain consistent in picture quality. For larger displays like these, it’s great, as they’re well-suited to be in a fixed position and being viewed at different positions in a room, or by multiple parties. Fast IPS is also notably good for its low motion blur.
144Hz refresh rate gives you competitive fps at 4K
While gaming in 4K isn’t the best way to go for competitive gaming, 144Hz give syou more than enough headroom for fast-paced gaming, and ensures that you can enjoy games with super smooth on-screen motion. It’s also not quite as overkill as some of the 4K 240Hz models on the market, making it more in line with mid-tier 4K gaming PC builds.
FreeSync Premium ensures stutter and tear-free gameplay
The middle-tier of FreeSync, which helps keep gameplay smooth when framerates change suddenly, and importantly includes low framerate compensation, which generates frames when fps dips below the monitor’s bottom refresh rate.
Smart TV functionality makes this more than just a gaming monitor
This monitor can be used just like a smart TV, so you can stream and watch content on it, and it even has an NQM AI processor that upscales lower resolution content to near 4K quality. This is especially good if you’re watching content through YouTube and other apps, which don’t always have 4K native shows.
Ideal size for versatility and for its resolution
4K at 32-inches is a winner, as it’s large enough to be immersive, showcase UHD resolution, provide ample room for productivity and design, and double up as a main screen for a smaller room.
Who should buy this Samsung Odyssey G7 smart gaming monitor?
This gaming monitor is a very strong, all-rounder pick, and it’s very much designed wth extreme versatility and ‘main-screen’ usage in mind. It give syou everything you need for 4K gaming, watching content, and everyday usage, and for a pretty reasonable price. Of course, a QD-OLED monitor may be more your thing if you’re after superior picture quality, but for the size, functionality, and premium build quality, this monitor certainly delivers for the price.
