The MacBook M3 family may be a prior generation now, but they can offer a lot to cost-conscious shoppers if a deal can be sought. And we’ve spotted a must-see price on the 13-inch MacBook Air right before Prime Day.
Originally priced at $1,500, the 13-inch MacBook Air M3 has a current list price of $1,300. But an early Prime Day deal price has provided a new low price for the model. You can pick up the Starlight colorway for a surprising $799. That’s 38% below the current list price, and half the original cost.

Why we like the MacBook Air 13-inch M3
M3 performance
When it was new to market in 2024, the M3 chip was heralded as an impressive bit of Apple silicon. Power-efficient and perfect for creative or task-driven performance on the go, it is now two years into its availability. But the M3 chip at the heart of this MacBook is still very capable and likely has several years left in it, too.

Big battery life
A battery life of up to 18 hours has always been a strong selling point of the MacBook M3. If you have to charge throughout the day – or plan your schedule around a wall socket – then this 13-inch MacBook should help you to break free of charging worries.
Apple design
From its 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display to its sleek, iconic chassis design, the MacBook 13-inch M3 looks and performs like a premium laptop. This deal is specifically for the Starlight color variant, which adds a little extra flair. But the power is there, too, thanks to the 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, and 16GB of memory.
What to consider before you buy
Honestly, the price for this MacBook 13-inch M3 is really impressive and offers ton of value. The new M5 model is priced around $1,000, so if cost is a key factor, then this is a really strong deal: be that for college, daily work, creativity, or mixed use. The key question is whether you’re happy to spend more on a newer model, or save on this specific laptop. And whether the Starlight styling works for you.
