What we like about this Toshiba 65-inch Class Z670R Mini-LED TV
High refresh rate for gaming and watching fast-paced content
This TV features a 144Hz refresh rate, which makes it ideal for 4K high framerate gaming, and ensures on-screen motion with content, like sports and racing, looks super smooth.
Mini-LED is a quality alternative to OLED
These types of TVs are excellent for color, contrast, and brightness, and often make for a more affordable choice than your typical OLED displays. They’re well-regarded for their excellent accuracy, which means you get a much more nuanced picture quality than a regular LED TV.
Gaming features make this a solid pick for PC and console
This TV features FreeSync Premium, which is a technology that reduces screen tearing when gaming and is often found in most gaming monitors. It also has ALLM, which essentially automatically detects when you’re gaming and reduces input lag, giving you a more responsive feel.
Powerful processor for upscaling
You’ve got a REGZA Engine Zri Gen 3 processor in this TV, which, like many chips nowadays, uses AI to enhance picture and audio quality. Having a higher-end processor like this can make all the difference, especially if you’re watching content on YouTube or other apps that aren’t always 4K-native.
Broad HDR coverage
You’ve got Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG, and more here, which basically cover every type of content you could watch, from films to live broadcasts, ensuring you experience them with enhanced contrast, better color, and brighter highlights.
Should you get this Toshiba 65-inch Class Z670R Mini-LED TV?
Toshiba may not be the first brand on your list, especially with the likes of LG, Samsung, and Sony leading the pack, but it’s a very strong option to go for from a price-to-performance perspective. This TV ticks all the boxes, in my view, and I think it’s a smart pick if you want something a bit more premium than your typical ‘budget-friendly’ mini-LED, but not as expensive as some of the alternatives from the earlier mentioned brands.
