Why we love the Dell Alienware AW2524HF

Blisteringly fast refresh rate for competitive gamers

480Hz is a lot, and for some it may seem excessive. But we know that in 1080p, competitive gamers need every frame to count – particularly in Esports titles. With support up to 480 frames per second (and 500Hz OC), the AW2524HF has Esports enthusiasts and professional-level gamers covered. The lightning-quick 0.5ms response time is excellent, too.

Solid day-to-day use

The AW2524HF is primarily a gaming monitor, but it is good enough for daily productivity and general PC tasks. Its peak brightness of 400 cd/m² (nits) is impressive, and users report it’s good for longer use, with limited reflections. For more comfortable viewing during long sessions, the AW2524HF supports TUV ComfortView Plus, reducing low blue light emissions.

Adjustable for better ergonomics and performance

For a premium Full HD monitor, you’d expect more than speed. The Dell Alienware AW2524HF delivers with height, pivot, and swivel adjustability. The height adjustment is a decent 4.3 inches, helping you find maximum comfort for longer gaming sessions, where staying loose and focused is key to performing match-altering plays.

What to consider before you buy

Focused on speed and responsiveness for gaming, the Dell Alienware AW2524HF is an incredibly fast 24-inch monitor for competitive and Esports gaming. You can certainly use it for daily PC tasks. However, if you need a monitor for fast gaming and more specific tasks like image or video editing, it may not be the model for you. Also keep in mind that 27-inch monitors provide a more expansive view if you have the space – with fast refresh rates, too. You can check out our best gaming monitors for more options.
