This Gigabyte QD-OLED, QHD gaming monitor has hit its lowest price ever on Amazon and is now only $399.99. I’ve written about gaming monitors for years, and I’ve got to say that this is a seriously good display for the price, and well worth checking out while it’s still reduced.

So here are the need-to-knows about this monitor. In terms of QD-OLED quality, it actually boasts a slightly higher contrast ratio (1.5M:1), which basically means that you’re getting brighter highlights and deeper blacks, for an overall more atmospheric and cinematic experience when gaming. For color, it’s 99% DCI-P3, which makes for more lifelike visuals, and allows for the use it for accurate video editing, and creative work too.
Gaming performance here is a good middle ground between 240Hz and 360Hz, coming in at 280Hz. That’s great as it keeps costs significantly lower than your typical 360Hz QD-OLED (which are usually over $500 at least), but still gives you plenty of headroom for high fps gaming. Motion blur is also notably low on this monitor, thanks no doubt to its low 0.03ms response time. It’s earned a ClearMR score of 15000, which is very good. I only really tend to see higher scores on purely competitive gaming monitors, some of which are around 500Hz and pretty overkill for most people, if you ask me.

Is it good value for money?
Yes, absolutely. QD-OLEDs under $400 are usually 240Hz and QHD, and that’s when they’re discounted. What’s great about this is that you’re getting a bit more headroom with its refresh rate, and it’s also notably impressive when it comes to contrast and motion clarity, too.
