Why you should check out the Lenovo Legion 7a
Ryzen AI 9 470HX and RTX 5070 combo is lethal
Lenovo Legion 7a pairs the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 with the RTX 5070. So, with this configuration, you get a full backup of great specs for gaming, content creation, and multitasking. The CPU packs 12 cores and 24 threads and is capable of boosting to 5.2GHz for CPU-bound applications, background processes, and today’s modern games. The GPU has 12GB GDDR7 VRAM and a 115W TGP and is plenty capable of running the most demanding titles at the display native QHD+ resolution. So, this pairing is ideal for resource-heavy workflows such as 3D rendering, AI, heavy multitasking, code compilation, software development, game design, and more.
QHD+ OLED display is exceptional
One of the key features of this gaming laptop is the 16″ OLED display. It brings clarity with the 2560 x 1600 resolution combined with the 16:10 aspect ratio and up to a 240Hz refresh rate for even more vertical space for your documents and editing timelines while keeping fast games silky smooth. OLED tech is only output on a per-pixel basis for maximal contrast and deep blacks; the Legion 7a is DisplayHDR True Black 1000 equipped for great HDR highlights and blacks, while covering 100% of the sRGB color space for those who do more than just game with their system. Pantone validation allows you to know the colors are accurate, while fast response times and G-SYNC support minimize motion blur and eliminate tearing during gaming.
Robust battery with quick and PD charging
The Legion 7a has an 84Wh battery, the usual chunk for gaming laptops, but sizable enough to be handy when you’re away from a mains socket, in a lecture or on your travels. As with every laptop battery, how long it lasts depends on how bright the display is, how much gaming or work you do, and what refresh rate you’ve set it to. And where it’s plugged in, charging-wise, the Legion 7 offers additional versatility. Its USB-C ports are Power Delivery capable, so you can connect a compatible USB-C charger or power bank to run light workloads and lighter computing duties, with up to 100W on one port.
