LG 39-inch Ultragear OLED Curved Gaming Monitor
Resolution is 3440 x 1440 with a 21:9 aspect ratio, so you’re getting a wider field of view with crisp and clear picture clarity. To play at this resolution may be a touch more demanding than QHD, but it’s still significantly less demanding than gaming in 4K, making this monitor well-suited to mid-to-higher-end setups, rather than exclusively for S-tier builds. This is the type of display that’s going to be best suited to those who want immersion first and foremost, and something capable of providing super-smooth gaming performance while also delivering exceptionally lifelike visuals. For the price, it’s well worth considering if you want to really take your setup to the next level.

What we like about this LG Ultragear 39-inch OLED Curved Gaming Monitor
Top-tier gaming performance
This monitor features a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and packs FreeSync Premium Pro, which adds up to outstanding gaming performance, especially when playing in HDR.
VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified
This is a big green flag when it comes to indicating how good an OLED monitor’s color, contrast, and brightness are. In this case, you’ve got a 1.5M:1 contrast ratio, 98.5% DCI-P3 color coverage, and decent peak brightness. Essentially, it means that everything you’re looking at is going to look much more lifelike and cinematic. Great for AAA gaming in particular.
Steep curve is super immersive
At 800R, it’s about as steep as you can get, and while it may not be ideal for non-gaming tasks, it’s outstanding for making you feel fully immersed in whatever you’re playing. Racing games are going to be especially awesome with this type of monitor.
How good is this deal?
As you can see from the graph above via camelcamelcamel, through this third-party seller, it’s a touch lower than Amazon’s lowest price for the monitor, which I’d count as a win. As far as its current price, I’d say for an OLED this size from LG, which is, from my experience, on the more expensive side, it’s a good deal. You could, of course, shop around and see what you could find, and if that’s the case, I’d suggest looking at ultrawides from MSI as a starting point. These are great value, and often reduced at retailers like Amazon and Newegg. Check out our top gaming monitor deals below to see what’s out there.
