Table of Contents
If you’re after premium build quality, stylish design, and excellent performance, Alienware is usually one of your best bets, especially if you don’t mind paying a bit of a premium for something that ticks all of these boxes. Discounts on Alienware products can be somewhat rare, at least from my experience, so when I caught this Alienware 34-inch OLED WQHD monitor at its lowest price in 30 days at Newegg, I thought it was well worth sharing. It’s currently got a fairly modest $70 discount, but it is now reduced from $799.99 to a more palatable $729.99.
Alienware 34 inch UltraWide OLED Curved Gaming Computer Monitor
This monitor brings a lot to the table, but the big thing here is its impressive OLED, curved display, boasting excellent contrast, peak brightness, and color, alongside a very high 240Hz refresh rate, supported by AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for top-tier HDR gaming performance. It’s backed by a 3-year warranty, too, and that’s not surprising given its extensive anti-burn-in features, which include an advanced AI algorithm and heat-dissipating graphite sheets for added protection. This is the type of monitor that’s going to pair well with more high-end gaming rigs, and for those looking for something super sleek and stylish to take their setups to the next level.
Why we like this Alienware 34-inch OLED gaming monitor
OLED display for deep blacks, excellent color, and lifelike picture quality
This monitor features an OLED display, which has an impressive DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification. This is a great indicator that it delivers the goods with at least 400 nits of peak brightness, a high percentage DCI-P3 color coverage (in this case, it’s 99.3%), and deep, inky blacks resulting in an excellent contrast ratio, which is 1,500,000:1 here.

FresSync Premium Pro for superior HDR gaming performance
With FreeSync Premium Pro, you’re getting anti-screen-tearing technology and low framerate compensation, but with the added bonus of reduced lag when gaming with HDR switched on. For OLED displays, this is a game-changer and ensures performance is visually smooth and stable, even at high settings and high framerates.
240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time for high fps gaming with minimal motion blur
240Hz is going to allow for up to 240fps, which gives you plenty of headroom to work with and makes this monitor a decent option for fast-paced competitive games, too. With its 0.03ms response time, it’s also a winner when it comes to tracking movement on screen, as a response time this low can dramatically reduce ghosting and motion blur.
1800R curve for immersive gaming sessions, without too much distortion
This monitor has a 1800R curve, which is a more gentle and subtle curve than some of the more aggressive 34-inch monitors on the market. It’s going to give you a sense of immersion, and potentially even be easier on the eyes, without being so steep that it distorts the image too severely. That’s great if you’re planning on using this monitor for non-gaming tasks, too.
WQHD resolution for a wider field of view without loss of clarity
This monitor is WQHD resolution with a 21:9 aspect ratio, which basically means it’s like QHD, but slightly wider and with more pixels horizontally. This is great for gaming as it allows you to play with a wider field of view, making it more immersive and, in some cases, more advantageous competitively, all without compromising picture clarity.
Things to consider
As with any OLED monitor, you’ll want to take into account how bright the room you’re using it in will be. In short, a well-lit room will require an OLED with a higher typical brightness, often found with WOLED models or more premium offerings with VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certifications, which would be a level up from this Alienware monitor. Personally, if you’re gaming in a bright room, you’re going to be best off with a mini-LED monitor in most cases, which are far brighter. But for dimmer environments, OLEDs are pretty much unbeatable.
