According to AMD, it is the world’s fastest mobile gaming processor and can easily outperform the Core Ultra 9 285HX. For example, their testing managed 192 and 111 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield, 13% and 22% better than the 285HX, respectively. However, it can do much more. Streaming, creative processes, AI, AI-accelerated apps, and other resource-intensive workflows can be easily tackled when you have this beast in your corner.
RTX 5080
This entire package gets a massive multiplier with the addition of the RTX 5080. This is a high-end GPU that complements the output of the 9955HX3D perfectly. It can handle native 4K gaming, heavy creative elements, large datasets, local AI models, VMs, and other GPU-intensive tasks. The 16GB GDDR7 VRAM and Blackwell architecture give it insane punching power. With the pairing of these monsters, there is nothing that will stand in their way, regardless of how heavy the task is.
240Hz OLED display
This gaming laptop features a 16″ display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The aspect ratio is the first thing to focus on, as it gives the 16″ display more screen real estate. This makes working and gaming more comfortable. The resolution and refresh rate are ideal for the RTX 5080, as you can expect high FPS in various AAA titles. However, the color space enables you to tackle creative processes such as video editing, as DCI-P3 was made for digital cinema and theater. So, you’ll need to calibrate it before taking on any such tasks.
99.99Wh battery
The element powering this entire beast is a proportional 99.99Wh battery. This will keep it firing for a good couple of hours, and you won’t have to constantly keep searching for a charging port. The 400W adapter can also charge it pretty quickly but when you have to use the full potential of the CPU and GPU, connecting the charger so that these components get the full output is recommended.
