As technology gets increasingly more advanced, internal components get smaller and smaller, opening up opportunities for companies like Acer to pack them into their portable machines. This is exactly what they’ve done with their newly announced Swift X laptop, boasting the latest tech in a slim and lightweight package.

The Acer Swift X laptop come equipped with AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series Mobile Processors and an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3050 Ti Laptop GPU which combined, offers creative professionals all they need performance-wise on the go. Not only this, you’ll also be able to take advantage of up to 17 hours of battery life which when compared to other leading models in this bracket, is nothing short of incredible.

While you might think that all that horsepower might turn your portable machine into a hefty bit of kit, as alluded to earlier, the Swift X certainly isn’t that. It weighs just 1.39kg (3.06lbs) and comes in at 17.9mm (0.7in) thickness, quite extraordinary considering there’s a 30 series GPU packed into this thing.

If you thought the plusses ended there, we haven’t even touched on the jaw-dropping display. It boasts a 14-inch FHD IPS panel with 100% sRGB color gamut, perfect for those wanting to edit photos or video on the go and still have that professional-level color accuracy premium monitors have.

James Lin, Acer’s General Manager of Notebooks, IT Products Business had this to say about the Swift X;

“Acer’s new notebook models are designed to offer consumers the widest possible choice of high-performance, ultraportable computing devices,”
“Professionals need a clean-looking notebook that is compact enough to take with them throughout the day, but it also has to be powerful enough to run multiple resource-intensive programs at once. With every device we make, we’re always pursuing that balance.”

Saeid Moshkelani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Client Business Unit at AMD furthered the Swift X’s potential with these comments;

“Powered by the highly-efficient and extremely powerful AMD ‘Zen 3’ core architecture, the Acer Swift X delivers impressive battery life in a high-performance and ultraportable design,”
“We are proud to collaborate with key partners like Acer to deliver premium, no-compromise solutions for content creators, streamers and creative professionals.”

If you want to get your hands on the Acer Swift X, it will be available in June starting at $899.99 and in Europe in Summer 2021 starting at €899.
