Acer has unveiled a new lineup of gaming monitors, and two particular models caught our eye – for different reasons. The company has introduced the Predator XB253Q U1, which it calls its first Full HD gaming monitor with a 1,000Hz refresh rate, alongside the Predator X32 V3, a 4K QD-OLED display aimed at gamers who want premium image quality and detail.

The Predator XB253Q U1 is a 24.5-inch IPS monitor built mainly for competitive gaming and esports. Its biggest feature is the 1920 x 1080 resolution paired with a 1,000Hz refresh rate. That is an extremely high refresh rate designed to make fast-moving gameplay look smoother and help players track movement more clearly. Acer is also including its Visual Response Boost (VRB) Pro technology, which is designed to reduce motion blur and ghosting.

The monitor has a 0.3ms response time when using VRB Pro and supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync. It also comes with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, while Acer’s Circular Polarizer technology is designed to reduce glare and eye strain during longer gaming sessions. The display uses a matte surface and offers 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 coverage.

Acer is targeting the monitor at hardcore gamers and esports players, and its 1,000Hz refresh rate is clearly the main selling point. However, reaching those kinds of frame rates will require a PC capable of pushing games to extremely high FPS numbers, so the full benefit will mainly apply to competitive titles where high frame rates are easier to achieve.

The second major highlight is the Predator X32 V3, which takes a completely different approach. Instead of focusing on extreme refresh rates, this 31.5-inch monitor is built around a QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel with a 3840 x 2160 4K resolution and a 180Hz refresh rate.

The panel uses a five-layer emission structure that Acer says improves brightness and efficiency while also helping with durability and lifespan. It comes with VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification, allowing it to deliver deeper blacks and strong contrast. The monitor also offers a 0.03ms GTG response time, 99% DCI-P3 coverage, and Delta E<1 color accuracy.

For gaming, the Predator X32 V3 supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync. It also features a semi-glossy surface and comes with HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C connectivity.

The two monitors are expected to launch in 2027. The Predator XB253Q U1 will arrive in North America and EMEA in Q1 2027, starting at $1,099 and €1,099, respectively. The Predator X32 V3 will also launch in Q1 2027 in North America and EMEA, starting at $899 and €899.
