Amazon Prime members have exclusive access to some latest-gen Nvidia and AMD graphics cards
Table of Contents
2025 has introduced the next generation of graphics cards, and these new GPUs are highly sought after, especially with ongoing stock issues. Nvidia’s RTX 50 series and AMD’s RX 9000 series cards have been difficult to obtain at decent prices, especially with scalpers swooping in and claiming the stock. Brands like AMD have already said they’re ramping production to meet demand.
Nvidia has tackled stock issues to some degree by reintroducing its Priority Access Program, which gives consumers a chance to get the 5090 and 5080 at MSRP, but it only targets a limited number of users. And now, Amazon is taking action against scalpers by reserving GPUs for Prime members.

Unfortunately, even as stock begins to recover, the prices of these partner cards aren’t getting much better. For example, the 5080 continues to retail for hundreds of dollars more than its $999 MSRP. While it will take some time for prices to recover, we hope that this Prime exclusivity program means more cards go into the hands of legitimate buyers. It isn’t exactly locking out scalpers, but it is at least a deterrent.
