AMD is bringing more support for both games and its upscaling tech in the latest graphics card driver update. The optional 25.6.2 update is not yet a full release but an optional one that provides some support for two new games, along with fixing some issues and adding improvements to some of the current driver problems.
Primarily, it adds driver support for its graphics cards in two new games. One is The Alters, which was released on June 13th, while the second is FBC: Firebreak, which is coming next week on June 17th. With both now ensuring they will work as needed with AMD GPUs, thanks to this update.

The next big update is the addition of FSR 4 to more titles. The implementation that’s close to the capability of DLSS has been added to The Alters, Delta Force, Dragonkin: The Banished, and RoadCraft. That puts the list of AMD FSR 4 games at nearly 67, with a mix of both upcoming and implemented versions. Providing some more features for the new RX 9000 GPUs to utilize, as FSR 4 is only available on them.
Radeon 25.6.2 fixed issues
This update also includes a couple of fixes. Primarily, some crashing issues, as well as some performance issues. Such as the first instance of a green tint appearing on displays of the Oculus Rift S VR headset with Radeon RX 7000 GPUs.
There are also issues with stuttering and lower performance when alt-tabbing, streaming to Discord, and using multiple monitors. There are occasional application crashes and driver timeouts in Spider-Man 2 with ray tracing enabled, affecting the RX 9060 XT particularly. Similarly, the RX 9070 is experiencing performance losses in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
These have all been fixed for their respective cards. There are still a few issues that AMD has acknowledged, and keeping track of them is also being addressed.
Acknowledged issues
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered: You might see texture flickering or corruption when playing this game with AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution enabled on Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics cards. As a temporary fix, we recommend disabling AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution.
- VR Headsets: Some AMD Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards may experience stuttering when using certain VR headsets at 80Hz or 90Hz refresh rates. If you encounter this, try changing your refresh rate as a temporary workaround.
- Cyberpunk 2077: You might observe intermittent system or application crashes while playing Cyberpunk 2077 on some AMD Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000 series graphics cards.
- Monster Hunter Wilds: When playing Monster Hunter Wilds, you might experience intermittent application crashes or driver timeouts if Radeon Anti-Lag and Instant Replay are both enabled.
- Call of Duty: Warzone Season 03: Stuttering may occur while playing the ‘Verdansk’ map in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 03 on some AMD graphics products.
- 4K YouTube Videos in Chrome: You might notice stuttering and lower-than-expected performance when playing 4K resolution YouTube videos in Chrome. A temporary workaround is to play the videos in full screen.
- FBC: Firebreak: Some AMD Ryzen AI 300 series and Ryzen 7000 series APUs may experience intermittent application crashes while playing FBC: Firebreak.
