AMD CES 2026 opening keynote start time countdown, where to watch, and what to expect
Table of Contents
It’s CES week, and that means there are plenty of new tech announcements to look forward to. While the bulk of the event kicks off on January 6, there will be some early keynotes to pique your interest later today, January 5. This includes AMD’s opening keynote at 6:30 PM Pacific Time, where CEO Lisa Su will take to the stage and give us an update on AMD’s latest products.
Major rival Nvidia will have its own CES 2026 presentation later, too, but the good news for AMD is that Team Green has already confirmed no new GPUs will be announced – so what can AMD provide PC gamers with? Well, there are already a bunch of rumors we can dive into ahead of the keynote.
When and where to watch the AMD keynote at CES 2026
AMD’s website reveals exactly when the keynote takes place later today, scheduled for 6:30 PM local time, which is less than 10 hours away at the time of writing. Unlike Nvidia, which will be running a ‘pregame’ show, AMD is jumping straight into the action, and the keynote will feature Lisa Su on the CES stage in Las Vegas. A livestream will be available via YouTube.

What to expect from AMD at CES 2026
Just like any other major brand at CES this year, there is going to be plenty of focus on AI from AMD. It has been this way for most other industry tech shows, so don’t expect it to change. The company says it will present “the AMD vision for delivering future AI solutions – from cloud to enterprise, edge and devices,” which doesn’t exactly reveal much in the way of PC gaming, but there are a couple of interesting leaks that could come to fruition at the event.
Towards the end of last year, information surrounding two new Ryzen CPUs surfaced online. One model to look out for is a newer version of the massively popular Ryzen 7 9800X3D, dubbed the 9850X3D, which could be announced at CES 2026, especially since early leaked benchmarks came to our attention in December. The other chip in question is a sequel to AMD’s current flagship X3D processor, simply named the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, which is rumored to feature 64MB more L3 Cache thanks to a dual 3D V-Cache configuration.
We’re keen to see a full range of AMD products on the way soon. FSR Redstone capped off 2025 for AMD, though one feature from the suite remains to be launched – Radiance Caching is set to arrive sometime in 2026.
