We’ve been seeing some AMD Radeon GPU price hikes lately, with prices recently jumping by as much as $100. GPU prices were already raised in October, and another leak has surfaced to suggest further increases this November, as AMD’s GPU + DDR6 memory kits are set to rise for partnered manufacturers. While Nvidia has moved onto GDDR7 for its VRAM in the RTX 50 series, AMD stuck with the last-gen memory type for its RX 9000 series, led by the 16GB RX 9070 XT.

A study completed last month showed that Nvidia GPU prices had risen more than 40% in the three months prior, while AMD’s Radeon series managed to keep costs a little more under control, with a 28.3% rise. As such, further increases were always expected to catch up with AMD consumers, and it’s looking like they’ll finally face waves of price hikes as the end of 2026 nears.

As per usual, memory costs are to blame

The news comes from a familiar source of hardware-related leaks and insider knowledge. ChannelGate, posting to the Chinese-language site Weixin (known as WeChat outside of the region), says an “approximately 8-10% increase in DDR6 memory prices” during Q3 2026 is the main reason why AMD is making its bundles for manufacturers more expensive. No real surprise here.

For those in the United States, you can use price tracking sites to keep an eye on GPU prices. A quick look at the flagship RX 9070 XT shows a sudden spike in October, with cards jumping more than $100-$150 this month. As seen in the table up above, most now exceed $900, and some premium cards cross into four figures. The RX 9070 XT originally launched for $599 in March 2025.
