Another 1,000Hz refresh rate monitor has been unveiled, this time from AOC as part of its AGON PRO range. It’s not expected to launch until Q1 2027, and no pricing details have been announced, but we do have a full list of specs to explore in the meantime. As a competitive, esports-focused display, the AOC AGON PRO AGP257FT features a 24.5″ 1080p panel.

The high-end gaming monitor may also be overclocked to 1,050Hz, while the response time sits at 0.3ms GtG. Exceptional ergonomics are another plus point of the AGP257FT, with some esports-minded improvements too. These include built-in measurement markings and a quick-release mechanism ideal for LAN events. An AOC QuickSwitch keypad will also be included.

Amsterdam, 30 September 2026 – AGON by AOC, the world’s leading gaming monitor brand, announces the AGON PRO AGP257FT, the fastest monitor in its line-up to date. The 24.5-inch (62.2 cm) Full HD esports monitor runs at a native 1000 Hz refresh rate, which can be overclocked to 1050 Hz, and pairs this with 0.3 ms GtG (minimum), VESA DisplayHDR 400 and hardware-based eye comfort features. The AGP257FT is designed for professional esports players and gamers in competitive fast-paced titles and is expected to be available from Q1 2027.

1000 Hz on an oxide-based Fast IPS panel

At the core of the AGP257FT is an oxide-based Fast IPS panel. Fast-response liquid crystal materials and an advanced panel architecture drive pixels faster than conventional LCD designs, overcoming the voltage-response limits that typically hold LCD panels back at extreme refresh rates. The result is smoother motion, lower frame delay and more immediate visual feedback during flick shots, quick turns and rapidly changing scenes. At 1000 Hz, the AGP257FT draws a new frame every millisecond.

HDR and colour without sacrificing speed

VESA DisplayHDR 400 and 20-zone local dimming add brightness and depth in compatible titles. The panel covers 99% of the sRGB and 90% of the DCI-P3 colour space at a typical brightness of 450 nits, and every unit ships with a colour and brightness uniformity report.

Eye comfort for long sessions

Training blocks and tournament days mean hours in front of the screen. The AGP257FT handles eye comfort at hardware level:

• Hardware-based Low Blue Light reduces shortwave blue light at the backlight source, without the yellow tint of software filters
• TÜV Rheinland-certified circular polarisation, verified at over 50% circularity, produces light closer to natural sunlight to reduce glare, visual harshness and eye fatigue
• Flicker-Free backlight using DC (direct current) instead of PWM (pulse width modulation), and anti-glare screen surface

Built for the esports desk

The fully adjustable stand offers 150 mm of height adjustment along with tilt, swivel and pivot, with built-in measurement markings that make it easy to maintain or replicate the preferred position, while a quick-release mechanism makes it easy to take the monitor to LAN events and tournaments. The included QuickSwitch keypad gives fast access to game modes and settings.
