Every year, Apple launches a bunch of new products around September. This year, the tech giant is all set to unveil the iPhone 16 series at an upcoming event later today. In addition to iPhones, it is being speculated that Apple is planning to introduce MacBooks, Mac Minis, and iPads at another event in October.
In case you missed it, Apple has scheduled the ‘Glowtime’ event for September 9th, which is later today. Along with the new iPhone 16, Apple is also likely to launch new Apple Watches and AirPods. We’ll have more details once the Glowtime event is on.
iPads, Mac Minis, and MacBooks may be unveiled in October
As we reported earlier, Mark Gurman said in his PowerOn newsletter that Apple is likely to introduce MacBooks, Mac Minis, and iPads at yet another event next month. In the same newsletter, Gurman suggested that the new Mac Minis will feature the M4 chip and will undergo a major design overhaul. The report went on to say that these upcoming mini PCs will be much smaller than the existing ones – about the size of an Apple TV box. Further, it is also rumored that the Mac Mini M4 will come without a USB-A port.
There has also been speculation about an iPad Mini. Apple has not released a new iPad Mini since 2021, so it will be interesting to see if this prediction is actually true. As per the rumor from Apple Hub, this new iPad Mini (which may be iPad Mini 7 or even iPad Mini Pro) will have an 8.3-inch LCD screen and will look like the iPad Mini 6. The tablet will be powered by A17 or A18 chip. It will also offer advanced features like WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Apple Intelligence.
Now, Apple hasn’t said anything about an iPad Mini, so take these rumors with a grain of salt. Further, while there are strong indications that Apple might launch these products next month, there hasn’t been any official announcement from the company.
