Earlier this year at Computex 2024, many tech giants showcased their upcoming hardware and technologies. The Ryzen 9000 series was a mystery back then, but the development of motherboards to support those chips was well underway, and some even made an appearance.

ASRock proudly displayed its 800 series motherboards at the event, particularly the X870 and X870E chipset boards. Fast forward a few months and we’ve found momomo_us posting on X, with a link to the ASRock microsite, showcasing all the X800 motherboards along with their features and specifications. With official details showing up online, we’re closer than ever to the X870 & X870E motherboard release date which is expected sometime this month.

There are seven motherboards, and almost all of them feature WiFi 7 along with USB 4, capable of 40Gbps data transfer. On top of that, they also claim that their 5Gb/s LAN connector has superior electromagnetic interference resistance due to their patented design, but the patent has yet to be approved.

We also see a robust power phase design of 24 + 1 + 1 and support of up to 8200 MHz DDR5 RAM and PCIe 5.0 M.2 connections.

What are the specs of the ASRock X870E/X870 motherboards?

We’ve listed their specifications below to give you a clearer picture:
