ASUS already holds the crown for one of the most expensive RTX 5090 SKUs with its ROG Astral LC variant, originally priced at a staggering $3,409.99, $1,409 over MSRP. This has since risen to $3,719.99 on ASUS’ official store, presumably due to tariffs. ASUS has doubled down on its record with a new RTX 5090 that redefines what premium hardware really means.
The ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition is a limited, high-end, ultra-premium graphics card that's plated in $700 worth of real gold, features Arabic-inspired design elements, and makes even the most expensive gaming setups look cheap. This new Dhahab Edition, which means gold in Arabic, is exclusive to the Middle East and won't be sold globally.
Expect to pay $7,000 or more
The premium GPU was announced back in February but recently went on sale, with pricing ranging from around $6,700 to a jaw-dropping $10,600, depending on the country. According to ASUS, the card includes 6.5 grams of 999-fineness (pure) gold embedded in it, meaning the gold content alone is worth about $700 based on current prices.

- 5,000 JOD (~$7.1K USD)
- 38,800 AED (~$10.6K USD)
Beyond the gold, the card also features turquoise-like accents that refract light into a stunning blue-green hue. There are also multiple cultural elements throughout the design, including Arabic calligraphy, and a gold backplate engraved with regional motifs symbolizing the desert and towering skyscrapers.
ASUS is committed to delivering exceptional gaming experiences for our fans in the Middle East. The launch of our NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series lineup for gamers of all backgrounds is a testament to this promise. As a tribute to the fast-growing Middle-East market, we’re also thrilled to introduce a limited run of region-exclusive ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition graphics cards for collectors and enthusiasts to appreciate.

That said, the ultra-rare and expensive RTX 5090 ROG Astral Dhahab Edition apparently has a more ‘affordable’ sibling in the works, an RTX 5080 version. However, judging by how the Dhahab series caters to premium collectors and enthusiasts, we still expect it to carry just as hefty a price tag.
