Battlefield 6 release date and start time confirms no early access
Table of Contents
Battlefield 6 has finally been given a firm release date and a precise start-time. The big-name shooter (which has generally been receiving favorable reviews since the Beta) arrives on Friday, October 10th, 2025 (for most of the world), across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a simultaneous global unlock across all regions rather than the rolling ‘midnight by region’ schedule we’ve seen at times in the past.
Store listings confirm the start time will be 8:00am Pacific Time, with players everywhere jumping in together instead of trickling in by territory.
For the major English-speaking regions then, this equates to:
- 8AM PT / 10AM CT / 11AM ET / 4PM BST / 5PM CEST / 8:30PM IST (on Friday, October 10th)
- 1AM AEST (on Saturday, October 11th).
Will this be a busy launch?
You should expect busy servers in the first hours, as is typical on a big launch, although hopefully the heavy traffic during the open beta gave EA a stress test to learn from.
This release lands four years after Battlefield 2042 and well ahead of this year’s new Call of Duty, giving DICE and its partner studios a coveted window to reintroduce Battlefield’s large-scale warfare with less competition. The no-nonsense rollout is something we’re happy to see, and hopefully, this will add to the success of the game’s launch.

Will your PC be able to run Battlefield 6 on release?
The Battlefield 6 system requirements have been revealed and they’re pretty much what you’d expect. The recommended specs to hit 60FPS on high settings in 1440p / 80+ FPS on low settings in 1080p include an RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6700 XT, or Intel Arc B580 graphics card, with a Core i7-10700 or Ryzen 7 3700X processor. Typically, publishers tend to undersell how much power you’ll need in order to shift units of their game, so take these with a slight pinch of salt, however the general view of the performance of the game during the Beta was fairly positive.
Can I get early access to Battlefield 6?
Older versions of Battlefield, including Battlefield V, have offered eager buyers of the more premium (Deluxe) edition early access to the game. However, that perk won’t be up for grabs this time – no matter what version of the game you decide to purchase.
It seems EA has focused more on cosmetic extras and additional game content for its more premium editions this time around – giving everyone access to the title at the same time.
