There is always a possibility that Black Friday will yield better discounts than Amazon Prime Day, it is the biggest sale event of the year, after all. Black Friday has far more participants than Prime Day, so it’s statistically more likely you’ll see better deals, but it’s not guaranteed. Waiting for a deal now could cost you some money if you can’t find what you’re looking for on Prime Day.

Intel Arrow Lake CPUs are said to be released at the end of this month, along with Z890 motherboards, which will change the landscape and may push more retailers to shave a few dollars off some of the earlier models to make way for new stock. If you’re looking for an Intel-based build, I like your chances at snagging a better deal over Black Friday.

One thing you do have to look out for with just a CPU and motherboard bundle is memory, if you’re on AM4 or LGA 1200 or earlier it’s DDR4, anything after is DDR5.
