There are plenty of different benchmark tools out there and we utilize various software when testing CPUs or GPUs. If you’re looking for a clear-cut presentation for hardware such as your graphics card, processor, or RAM, then CapFrameX is an excellent piece of software we’d recommend.

The latest update to CapFrameX is now available – CapFrameX v1.7.4 supports AMD Zen 5 and Intel Arrow Lake processors. For reference, these are the latest-gen CPUs, namely the Ryzen 9000 and Intel Core Ultra 200S series. If you want to read more about them, we’ve reviewed Intel’s flagship Core Ultra 285K and the new best gaming CPU, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D; both chips were released not too long ago.

Stalker 2 looks great in new screenshots shared by CapFrameX

CapFrameX posted some new screenshots of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, sourced from Reddit, and it’s safe to say that the game is looking great. With the game’s launch later today (November 20th), we’re sure many people will be benchmarking the game and tools like CapFrameX are perfect for just that.

Plus, if you’re using one of AMD’s or Intel’s latest processors, you can now be safe in the knowledge that it will be supported. So far, AMD is clearly leading the DIY CPU sales and the 9800X3D is a massive driver of that – so we’re keen to see just how the latest hardware will handle Stalker 2.

However, with high-end graphics comes high system requirements. We recently learned that even the RTX 4090 won’t handle the game at max settings for 4K 60 FPS, so we expect the game to be tough to run on lower-end hardware. Updated system requirements reveal that even the devs suggest using DLSS, for example.

Even still, there’s going to be plenty to learn regarding optimization and performance once the game is released. The current benchmarks are sourced from Nvidia directly, but that will change once the game is available for all to play and we can see how well the game runs on a wide range of hardware.
