The original Trials of Tav mod was created by Hippo0o on Nexus Mods. The new “Reloaded” version is made by Celerev, who has improved and expanded the mod in many ways. According to Celerev, the updated version includes:
- 160+ new monsters from the base game, including almost all Legendary monsters except the Netherbrain (for now). It also features rare enemies like Nine-Fingers Keene, the Countermeasures, and Harvard Willoughby: Nature’s Vengeance
- 30+ custom monsters, with some of them having custom spells and abilities
- 25 new maps
- Bug fixes for several bosses. On top of that, some bosses that relied on specific arenas in the main game have been adjusted to work in the roguelike format
- New scaling system. Early enemies start with normal stats, but as the run progresses, they scale up in power
- Shop rebalancing, including price adjustments and new unlockable items like Divine Ascension
- A “Superboss” at level 27, the final and toughest challenge in the mod. If you defeat him, the run will be completed
The Trials of Tav: Reloaded mod has already been downloaded over 9,500 times. This shows just how popular the mod is among Baldur's Gate 3 players. Celerev will most likely keep updating the Reloaded version with new content, and we’ll make sure to update you whenever a new version is available.
If you want to check out more Baldur’s Gate 3 mods, the massively popular ‘Ancient Mega Pack‘ was updated yesterday, and there was recently some great progress news about the upcoming ‘The Grand Theater‘ custom campaign.
