Corsair unveils new metal variant for Sabre V2 PRO gaming mouse, and you can still call it lightweight

With CES 2026 in full swing, there are plenty of hardware announcements to take a look at, including Corsair, which has a new gaming mouse to showcase. Expanding on the already well-established Sabre V2 Pro model, it’s giving the wireless mouse a new look and a new choice of material.
Corsair is releasing the magnesium alloy shell version (MG) of the SABRE v2 PRO Wireless, changing out the standard plastic casing for a metal version with a perforated body instead of one complete piece. As you’d expect, this affects the weight of the mouse, upping the total to 56g, which is 20g more than the standard model, a 55% increase.
- Sensor: CORSAIR MARKSMAN S
- DPI: 33,000
- Weight: 56g
- Buttons: 5
- Battery life: 100 hrs
But there is some benefit to the Sabre V2 Pro MG version over the basic, other than it just getting heavier. According to Corsair, the strong, superlight magnesium alloy improves the cooling and durability of the mouse, along with having the premium aesthetics of a metallic finish. It also keeps the 8,000Hz hyper-polling, keeping the responsiveness at its peak while still being under 60g, which won’t take a lot to move. Many ‘ultra-lightweight’ mice weigh in around this level.

CORSAIR SABRE v2 PRO Wireless MG specs and features
Inside the magnesium alloy shell, you’ll still find the CORSAIR MARKSMAN S sensor capable of 33,000 DPI tracking, 750 IPS speed, and a 50G acceleration, alongside the 8,000HZ hyper-polling for some excellent accuracy and responsiveness.
