What to expect from Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5
CD Projekt Red hasn’t revealed everything about Update 2.5 yet, as some of the details are being saved for the stream. However, the studio has already confirmed that players can expect cyberware customization, a new dual-wielding playstyle, and more.
There could be significantly more content included in the update based on information that has leaked ahead of the official reveal. The leak points toward two new side quests called Clampdown and Welcome to Paradise. Clampdown is reportedly connected directly to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, while Welcome to Paradise is said to offer a guided tour of Night City.
The existing Fool on the Hill quest could also receive additional content, with 12 new Minor Arcana tarot cards reportedly hidden around Night City. Finding all of them is said to unlock a special reward.
More details have also surfaced about the officially teased dual-wielding system. According to the leak, players will be able to unlock it through a new Double Trouble perk within the Cool attribute tree, allowing two Power pistols or revolvers to be used simultaneously.
There are also claims of console mod support through mod.io, a new radio station featuring music connected to Edgerunners, and additional PC improvements. However, these leaked details should be treated as unconfirmed until CD Projekt Red provides the full breakdown during today’s stream.
