Intel Panther Lake line-up leaked by HWMonitor, 12 new CPUs listed in release notes
Table of Contents
Intel Panther Lake is Team Blue’s next set of processors. Panther Lake refers to processors that will feature in upcoming Intel-powered laptops, and while Intel has discussed the new architecture already, there’s no definitive list of all of the models so far. Maybe until now, as an update to the hardware monitoring tool HWMonitor has given us a glimpse of the next-gen SKUs.
We already got to see one of the first Panther Lake laptops on display at IFA Berlin, the Acer Swift 16 AI, but no specific processor name was given. The specs card on display simply said it was powered by “Intel’s Next-gen Processor”.
Three series of Panther Lake CPUs are in the release notes
HWMonitor v1.60 for Windows x86/x64 is now available on CPUID’s website. It details support for various Intel Core i-series and Ultra-series processors, including ones we’re already familiar with. There is also support for the Ryzen 5 5600F that AMD unveiled last month. As for Panther Lake, three series have been listed (two for Panther Lake-H and one for Panther-Lake-U).

The list is topped by the (presumably) flagship Core Ultra X9 388H. The new ‘X’ naming scheme looks to be reserved for the high-end SKUs. The 300H and 300U series are expected to be the mid-range and entry-level options, respectively, as the ‘U’ suffix denotes mobile processors which run on ultra-low power to maximize battery life.
There has already been details of Panther Lake laptops being leaked online via shipping data, but we’re still waiting to see the confirmed specs directly from Intel. Even still, the 300 series seems to be shaping up to be a solid generation – Intel’s previous Lunar Lake laptops also impressed, while the company has admitted it “fumbled” recent desktop CPU launches in comparison.
Intel has revealed that Panther Lake-powered hardware should be widely available to consumers as soon as January 2026, while the very first SKU is expected to ship before the end of 2025.
