FSR 4 comes to 7 more games following rumor that RDNA 3 GPU support is in the works

Table of Contents
AMD launched its FSR 4 upscaling technology with its latest RX 9070 series RDNA 4 graphics cards, and it was found to be much closer in quality to DLSS 4. However, FSR 4 only supported 30 games at launch, which drew criticism, especially for a technology aiming to compete with Nvidia’s DLSS and its broad game library. Fortunately, Team Red promised many more titles with FSR 4 support throughout 2025.
The latest Adrenalin Edition 25.5.1 driver update brings FSR 4 support for seven more titles, including Ghost of Tsushima, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, The Finals, and a few others. This brings the total to 37 titles, with the number promised to grow to over 75 by the end of the year.

FSR 4 coming to RDNA 3 GPUs?
This support update comes just as rumors surface about AMD working to bring its FSR 4 upscaling technology to the previous-gen RDNA 3 architecture. Currently, FSR 4 is exclusive to RDNA 4 GPUs, but according to leaker and creator Moore's Law is Dead, citing an anonymous source at AMD, “AMD is taking their time to port FSR 4 to RDNA 3.” The source further added that AMD understands how important it is to get this right, which “confirms they are doing it.”
I (AMD) was hoping to have more updates for you about efforts to port FSR to RDNA 3, but unfortunately the people I know working on it had nothing new to say last time I talked to them. The only thing I heard was ‘we are taking our time to port FSR 4 to RDNA 3 because we realize how important it is that we get this right’ … so, hey at least that confirms they are doing it!

While Moore's Law is Dead does have a decent track record with leaks, we recommend taking this with a grain of salt. But if the rumors turn out to be true, RDNA 3 users (those with Radeon RX 7000 series cards) could soon benefit from the improved AI-powered upscaling. AMD is expected to unveil its Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics cards at Computex 2025 in the coming weeks, which could also be when we hear an official confirmation about FSR 4 coming to RDNA 3 GPUs, if we’re lucky.
