If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your graphics card, now’s a great time, as Nvidia made a big announcement ahead of Gamescom 2025. Starting today, if you buy a desktop or laptop powered by an RTX 50-series GPU, you’ll get a free copy of Borderlands 4 through certain retailers and online stores. This offer also applies to those who purchase an individual card.
The RTX 50 series launched earlier this year. These are Nvidia’s newest graphics cards, offering big upgrades in power, speed, and features compared to the older RTX 40 series. When the cards first launched, there were low stock and high price issues, but things have finally started to settle, so it’s a good time to upgrade if you want access to DLSS 4 for the latest AAA games.
Borderlands 4 bundle announced ahead of Gamescom 2025
For Gamescom 2025, which officially starts on the 20th, Nvidia announced that those who purchase an RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, or RTX 5070, either as a standalone graphics card, a prebuilt desktop, or a laptop with these GPUs, will get Borderlands 4 for free. This also includes the Gilded Glory Pack, which usually comes as a pre-order bonus for the Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe editions. So in total, you get:
- Borderlands 4 Standard Edition
- Gilded Glory Pack
- 1x Valut Hunter Skin
- 1x Weapon Skin
- 1x ECHO-4 Drone Skin

This offer is only available through participating retailers and online stores, so make sure to check if your store is part of the promotion. Also, Nvidia has left the budget cards out of this offer, which is not so great news for anyone who was planning to get an RTX 5060 or RTX 5060 Ti.
In any case, Borderlands 4 is currently scheduled to release on September 12, so there are only a few weeks left before you can dive into your next adventure. Nvidia also confirmed that the game will support DLSS 4 at launch, including Multi-Frame Generation, which offers up to 6x the framerate. However, make sure you also get a decent processor for the game, as it requires an 8-core CPU as a minimum.
