Rockstar Games has already released two trailers for GTA 6, and instead of introducing another trailer, Rockstar surprised everyone by announcing something much bigger: an Extended Look at the game. If you’ve been waiting to see more of GTA 6, the good news is that the wait is almost over, as the presentation goes live today, August 27.

GTA 6 Extended Look Netflix start time

The GTA 6 Extended Look will first premiere on Netflix at 3 PM ET. However, depending on where you live, the time will be different for everyone. For viewers in other regions, the GTA 6 Netflix premiere will begin at:

  • US Eastern (EDT): 3 PM, August 27
  • US Pacific (PDT): 12 PM, August 27
  • United Kingdom (BST): 8 PM, August 27
  • Central Europe (CEST): 9 PM, August 27
  • India (IST): 12:30 AM, August 28
  • Singapore (SGT): 3 AM, August 28
  • Japan (JST): 4 AM, August 28
  • Sydney (AEST): 5 AM, August 28
  • New Zealand (NZST): 7:00 AM, August 28

We’ve also added a countdown clock below, which will help you track the exact hours and minutes left until the Extended Look arrives.

What about YouTube?

If you don’t have Netflix, you’ll still be able to watch the same presentation for free on YouTube and Rockstar’s website six hours later. For that, we’ve added a countdown clock below as well.

What to expect from the GTA 6 Extended Look

Rockstar has not revealed exactly how much footage will be shown, but the Extended Look should provide a much deeper look at GTA 6 than the previous trailers. Fans can expect a major gameplay reveal, giving us a better idea of how the open world actually works when you’re free to explore it.

We could also get a closer look at Jason and Lucia, including how Rockstar’s dual-protagonist system works and how players can switch between the two characters. More of the Leonida map could also be shown, including new locations, cities, countryside areas, and other parts of the world that have not yet appeared in official footage.

There is also plenty of room for Rockstar to explain or showcase gameplay systems, including the wanted and police system, weapons, vehicles, NPC behavior, activities, character interactions, and other mechanics.

The Extended Look arrives after a difficult week for Rockstar. A leaker known as CyberLeek shared multiple pieces of alleged GTA 6 gameplay and other game material across social media. Rockstar responded with takedown requests and later publicly acknowledged how upsetting the leaks were for the development team. Reports indicate that much of the leaked footage came from an older development build, meaning it should not be treated as a representation of the current version of GTA 6.

That makes today’s Extended Look even more important. Instead of relying on blurry leaked clips from older builds, fans will finally get an official look at the latest version of GTA 6 directly from Rockstar.
