Steam’s next major sales event, the Summer Sale, will kick off in the final week of June, meaning there are still a few months left before you can fill your game library without spending too much. However, while most of the games on Steam have a price tag attached to them, some are absolutely free. And this month, 15 new games were added to the platform (so far), which you can download and play for free right now.
Free games you can download from Steam right now
Many free games are a far cry from your average AAA title created by a big studio. They are either developed by small indie studios or by students as part of a project or game jam, but that doesn’t mean they’re not worth your time. There can be some hidden gems out there in the depths of Steam’s catalog.
In any case, here are 15 new games that you can download from Steam for free right now. Some of them might also run just fine on Valve’s Steam Deck handheld, but we can’t confirm anything as their Steam Deck compatibility is currently unknown.
