Hi-Fi Rush devs tease physical copy or merch on the way, and it will be cheaper on Steam until early next year

Hi-Fi RUSH has been in the spotlight for a good reason lately. Just last week, the game removed Denuvo, with the developers explaining that they wanted to offer players a “more stable and efficient service environment.” This change came after Tango Gameworks shut down, and the publishing rights for Hi-Fi RUSH were handed over to Krafton. Many players were worried about the future of the game, but it looks like things are moving in a positive direction again.
Now, fans have even more good news to look forward to. The official Hi-Fi RUSH X account announced that the game is getting a huge discount as part of the Krafton Publisher Sale on Steam. The sale runs from December 10 to December 17, and during this time, Hi-Fi RUSH is 40% off. This discount brings the price down from $29.99 to just $17.99, which is the lowest price the game has ever seen on Steam. For anyone who hasn’t played it yet, this is a perfect chance to jump in.
Hi-Fi Rush is on sale until January 5, thanks to back-to-back sales
And if someone happens to miss this sale window, there’s no need to worry. The developers also confirmed that the same 40% discount will return during the Steam Winter Sale, which will run from December 18 all the way to January 5. That means players will have multiple opportunities to pick up the game for a much lower price. Just don’t be the unfortunate soul who decides to buy it during the short period of downtime between sales.
Physical release possible?
But the most interesting part of the announcement wasn’t even the discount. In the same post, the developers teased something unexpected. They wrote, “And BIG news… something that you can actually hold is on its way,” – this definitely seems to tease a physical release of Hi-Fi RUSH, and if not, at least some merch fans can get their hands on.

Assuming it is a physical release, we don’t know yet whether it will be available for all platforms, PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, or only for select systems. It’s also possible that it might be a limited-edition release, maybe even a collector’s edition with special artwork or bonus items. In any case, nothing is confirmed yet, but the wording of the post strongly hints that a physical edition is on the way.
