Highly-rated Indiana Jones runs terribly on Steam Deck, unless you use GeForce Now
Steam Deck players who have patiently waited for the launch of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be disappointed by the lackluster gaming experience provided by the handheld console. Thankfully, there is a way to increase gameplay and graphical performance, but you’ll need an Ultimate Tier subscription to GeForce Now.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is being praised by the masses today, with many saying it’s one of the best Indiana Jones games to ever be released. Despite such high praise from PC and console players, one demographic that isn’t enjoying the game quite so much is the Steam Deck community.
There have already been several videos from Steam Deck players showcasing the poor gameplay and graphical performance when trying to run the game natively through Steam Deck. Many are experiencing weird graphics, blurred textures, missing objects, and even vanishing characters – even when running the game on low settings.
Thankfully, Steam Deck players do have the option of playing the game via GeForce Now, where players can enjoy maxed settings at 1080p.
GeForce Now Ultimate members can enjoy Indiana Jones game at 1080p Ultra settings
Due to Indiana Jones’ utilization of ray tracing technology, playing the game on Steam Deck is never going to be amazing. Thankfully, playing the game on the Steam Deck via GeForce Now results in a far more pleasant experience.

In fact, players who have the GeForce Now Ultimate membership can enjoy the game in ultra settings at 1080p right now. Using this results in a stunning gaming experience that is a night and day comparison when pitted with the native Steam Deck gameplay.

If you’re not one for waiting for patches and updates, you can dive into GeForce Now and play the game as it was intended. Better yet, you’ll be able to save on a Day Pass if you want to try the game out before diving into a full subscription.
Either way, GeForce Now is a great way to enjoy games that otherwise would struggle to run on Steam Deck – and Indiana Jones and The Great Circle looks to be one.
