2025 has been another amazing year for AMD Ryzen. Just a short while ago, it was revealed that AMD was leading motherboard sales, with AM5 boards sitting on top of the sales chart. And now, another major win has been reported. TechEpiphany, a reliable source on X, has shared a new report showing CPU sales data from German retailer Mindfactory. This report clearly shows how well AMD is doing in the DIY CPU market, at least in Europe, and how far behind Intel currently is.

According to the numbers shared, AMD sold a total of 2,790 CPUs in week 26 of 2025, grabbing a huge 93.31% market share. Intel, on the other hand, only managed to sell 200 CPUs, which is just 6.69% of the market. In terms of revenue, AMD also dominated with over $922,000, while Intel brought in just over $47,000.

The most popular CPU during this time was the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, with 1,360 units sold. That's a massive lead over every other processor on the list. Interestingly, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, its more powerful successor, only sold 230 units, placing it far behind the 7800X3D. The 7800X3D was released back in April 2023 and remains one of the best choices for gamers, thanks to its great performance and price, especially now that it more regularly sees price cuts.

CPUUnits sold
Ryzen 7 7800X3D1,360
Ryzen 7 9800X3D230
Ryzen 9 7900 200
Ryzen 5 7500F100
Ryzen 5 770060
Ryzen 7 5700X3D50
Ryzen 7 5700X50
Ryzen 7 9700X50
Ryzen 9 9950X3D40
Ryzen 7 560040

What's even more shocking is Intel's lack of representation on the DIY CPU market. The company didn't have a single CPU in the top 10. The best they could do was 20 units sold for both the Core i7-14700K and Core Ultra 7 265K. That's a huge gap, especially when compared to AMD's top models.

Looking at socket sales, AM5 CPUs sold 2,430 units, showing that most buyers are going for AMD's newer platform. AM4 still saw 360 sales, indicating that some users are still sticking with older but still reliable options. For Intel, Socket 1700 saw 170 sales, and the newer Socket 1851 only sold 30 units.
