Is Steam down again? Users experiencing connection problems
Steam looks to be down yet again, with slow load times and constant disconnections. I needed the break from Elden Ring anyway.
You might have to press the pause button on your favorite game while Steam fixes its connectivity issues – with the platform seemingly down, yet again. I just tried to log on to my account and, while it did eventually log me in (after about 10 minutes), I was quickly disconnected.
Upon checking Downdetector.co.uk, it seems my issues are being felt by hundreds of others, with a spike in reports around 3pm on the 4th of July. As you can see from the image below, reports quickly spiked to around 900 shortly after 3pm. Since then, that number has further spiked to around 1800.

Thankfully, Steam is normally pretty swift when it comes to fixing this sort of thing, and I assume the service will be back up and running in no time. I’m currently stuck on the account login screen – where I’ve been for the past 7 minutes.
I was briefly able to do log into steam, but was quickly disconnected. Upon trying to log back in, I was met with a further connection problem.

Fun times Steam.

I suppose it’s not the first time this has happened and it won’t be the last. By the time this article goes live, Steam will likely be back up and running anyway. But for now, we’re stuck having to do something a little more productive. Any ideas?
