Fallout London is finally here and it’s already causing quite a stir in the gaming world, with some users insistent on playing the latest mod in its vanilla form.

Fallout London officially launched yesterday, sparking excitement amongst fans of the long-lasting franchise. The latest mod, developed by Team FOLON, offers up a disheveled London set in the Fallout universe, offering up new weapons, a new story, and a bunch of London-centric items too. And despite some players finding it difficult to install Fallout London, many are already enjoying the fruits of its gameplay.

That said, many fans of the game aren’t fulfilled by the latest mod, resulting in a bunch of players looking to mod the mod. Say that after several drinks.

With numerous reports of Fallout London crashing, some people are jumping to Reddit advising users to play the game in its vanilla form – despite developers of Fallout London recommending a huge list of compatible mod options.

Fallout London mods could be aiding CTD issues

It’s no secret that tonnes of players are experiencing CTD issues right now, with many voicing their frustrations on forums like Reddit.

But what’s the reason behind this? No official statement has been made by Fallout London devs – but some Redditors think adding mods to Fallout London certainly isn’t helping.

One Redditor says, “I’m playing vanilla and have almost 0 issues except for the crash two times after the first train ride.” – suggesting the game isn’t as bug-riddled as some people think.

That comment was met with a sea of confirmations, with many speculating that mods on top of Fallout London could be causing the issues. This goes against some of the comments seemingly made on Fallout London’s Discord channel, with a Redditor adding “Plus there’s a support channel in their discord that suggests installing other mods to fix the problems”.

All being said, I think we have to remember that we’re talking about a free mod here – not a $70 polished release. There are bound to be issues, so you should really be expecting some form of instability at the start. That said, it’ll be interesting to see how the new few days play out – and whether Team FOLON make official statements on potential fixes.
