CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D

The Ryzen 5 7600X3D is a relatively new processor from AMD that was launched a few months ago. However, it isn’t a part of the latest 9000X3D lineup and does not offer the Zen 5 architecture. Instead, it is based on the old Zen 4 architecture and is a part of the Ryzen 7000 series lineup. AMD basically released it for those who are on a budget and want an affordable X3D CPU for the AM5 platform. On top of that, in the US, the 7600X3D is exclusive to Micro Center, so you can not buy it from another retailer.

When it comes to specifications, the 7600X3D offers 6 cores and 12 threads. On top of that, it has a base clock speed of 4.1 GHz, which can go up to 4.7 GHz. It also has an L3 Cache of 96 MB, which is what you’d expect from an X3D processor. Thankfully, it has a fairly low TDP of 65W, but we’d still recommend pairing it with one of the best power supplies for gaming to ensure you don’t run into any power-related issues.

Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B650 Plus WiFi

For the motherboard, Micro Center has included the ASUS TUF Gaming B650 Plus WiFi in the bundle. As it’s a TUF series board, it offers a very ‘gamey’ design with an all-black theme and touches of yellow in different spots. However, it doesn’t offer any fancy lighting, like RGB. But this won’t be a deal-breaker for those who don’t like turning their setup into a light show.

The board supports Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors. It has four slots for DDR5 RAM and can support a max capacity of 128GB. Aside from that, it has three M.2 slots for SSDs and four SATA 6GB/s ports for additional storage, including HDDs. For connectivity, you’ll find eight USB ports on the back panel, one HDMI and DisplayPort, one WiFi module, one BIOS FlashBack button, five audio jacks, and a 2.5GB Ethernet port for wired internet connections. For the full specifications, you can check out its official product page on Asus’s website.

RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB

These days, we’d recommend at least 16GB of RAM for modern games. This much RAM is also enough for most productivity software, though 32GB+ would be preferred for more intensive workflows. Thankfully, the bundle includes 32GB of DDR5 6000 MHz RAM, which will be more than enough for most people. This much RAM will ensure you get smooth productivity and gaming performance without any lag or other issues.

How much will you save?

The three components would cost you around $579.97 if you buy them individually. However, thanks to the Micro Center bundle, you can save $179.98 and get them for only $399.99, which is an absolute steal. The money you save can be used to get some other components, such as one of the best GPUs for gaming. You can also invest in one of the best AIO coolers to keep your CPU cool during long gaming sessions.
