Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 arrives in Steam Deck top 10 with ‘playable’ rating
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is easily one of the biggest games of the year, hitting over 250,000 concurrent players on Steam in only a few days after its launch. It is a sequel to the 2018 Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Steam Deck users seem to be enjoying it a lot, as the game has managed to enter the top 10 in the Steam Deck Top Played charts.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is currently the 7th-most played game on the Steam Deck
Before Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was released, many Steam Deck owners wondered if they would be able to play the game on their handheld. The growing demand for better hardware in new games made them worry that it might not run well on their device. However, on January 30, just days before the official launch, the developers confirmed that the game would be playable on the Steam Deck. While the game doesn’t yet hold ‘Verified’ status, it still performs well on the Valve handheld.
Deck Wizard later shared a video on their YouTube channel showcasing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s performance on the Steam Deck. According to the video, the game runs smoothly across different FSR modes, including Performance, Balanced, and Native AAA. During intense battles, it maintained 30 FPS in both FSR Performance and Balanced modes with the frame rate capped. With the FPS limit set to 90 and Performance mode enabled, Deck Wizard was getting around 65 FPS.
Thanks to the game’s solid performance on the Steam Deck, many users are jumping in, making it the 7th most-played game on the device. Currently, it holds the 7th spot on the Steam Deck Top Played charts, ranking above Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy, and just below Elden Ring.
We expect the game to hold this spot for at least a few weeks, but its ranking will likely drop once players finish the main campaign. However, its popularity will likely surge again after a Steam discount or an update filled with new content.
